Yes. About 3 days ago I tried and it wouldn't work so I typed his email address into my email account, sent it from there and that went through but it take a couple of days to get a reply.

Thanks 47Merc, I thought the worst had happened and the company had folded.
Maybe best if I ring them at least somebody will answer the phone.

Last time I tried to order on-line the order wouldn't go thru (items were on sale--and I needed them) so, I called the order in. All five items were out of stock! I hope Bob is not over extending himself. The parts are great--when you can get them.

It took me just about a year to get the last item I wanted from Drake. Luckily, it wasn't needed in any hurry and was worth waiting for.

While on this topic has anyone successfully purchased a brown belt from Drake such as the one shown in the link below below? I have called once every three months for the last 4-1/2 years and am always told it is on backorder.

35fordtn - I suspect you may already be aware of this, but Roy Nacewicz sells a bottle of brown fan belt die (BP-108-P). I sprayed it through my air brush and it worked pretty slick. Might do until you find someone making the proper brown belt. If I can do it, it's dirt simple...

Yes I know Roy quite well. I have used the dye he sells with good results. Finding original style "wrapped" belts versus layered is becoming hard. That was why I got excited hoping Bob Drake had produced such a belt.

Seems like everyone agrees Drake parts are good quality but service a bit slow

I lived in Gladstone in 1974.
Worked for K.D.Morris when they were building the power station, then for Cyril Golding on the red mud dams at the QAL site.
Also lived in Tannum Sands for a while.
No pubs there in those days.
email Drake and ask for Heather Travis - she was first class to deal with.
Regards,
Chris.NZ.

Well in the end result Bob Drake is both a supporter of the hobby, and he does reproduce some of the much needed parts for these cars.
