Default Another question about model A #'s

I've searched here and come up short; could anyone explain the significance of Model A VIN tag numbers? Lots of info about frame/engine dates, but what is the disjointed number system and how can you track the VIN to the serial #'s?

Sorry but you can't. Basicly the body numbers were put on by the body builders Briggs and Murray. These number have no corolation with the frame/engine numbers from Ford.

Alrighty....

So the tag plate the previous owner was most concerned about giving me was nothing more than a body tag that was pulled (and not replaced) prior to the body resto; its apparently irrelevant in the title process. Got it. Thanks fellas.
