HAMB (urger)
Just went to that HAMB site I see too much about and what a waste of my time.
By the time one would expect to receive an answer to any question, so many others have posted that what you are looking for is now on some back page. Ain't worth my time to do all that searching and they mostly do BS there, no real technical stuff. Maybe they do not know any real technical stuff... that could be it. As for me - I will stick with you guys here in the "Barn". JW |

Re: HAMB (urger)
I feel your pain ...there's both good and bad over on HAMB . As to keeping track of things , I go to the "search this froum " function on the first page and plug in the first word or two of my "new topic " that has now disappeared to the back pages . It will find your post .
There is a lot to sort through over there and I know I've cut back a lot ....I prefer an easier going Forum . My other hobby is model railroading and my favourite Forum more than quadrupled in size to the point I went somewhere else . Just the way it is , I guess . T |

Re: HAMB (urger)
I seldom do anything but searches over there. It can be hard to word a search sometimes but I've gotten a lot of information that way. The shear quantity of people who monitor that forum is staggering by comparison the the Ford Barn. Your questions over there can get a page of crap to every good answer you might gain.

I think it is part of human nature to not want to waste time providing wanted information if one perceives that the inquirer doesn't want to take (waste) his own time researching beforehand the knowledge base already presented.

You fellas don't like the HAMB? Fine. Don't use the forum. But to come on Ford Barn, a site which I also provide, and bitch about it is utter bullshit. |
