Default Deluxe Phaeton Door Post Rubber Bumpers

I need a set of door post bumpers to keep the doors on my '30 180-A snug. I've gotten two sets from suppliers who assured me those they would send are for a Deluxe Phaeton. What I received was of course two sets of four bumpers for a Standard Phaeton. Does anybody, or Peter Mendola or other 180-A guys, know of a source? If I have to make a set can anyone supply a drawing of them? What I have is incorrect and won't serve as a pattern. Thanks. Alfred Meyer

You might try A & L Parts. They seem to have come up with a few quality DP parts for restorers. Peter can cite you chapter and verse on this subject.

Marshall, I called Allen Lepore first. His father helped me find my Phaeton. They no longer have any and he told me Steele Rubber no longer stocks them. Hence my call to other suppliers who sent the wrong stuff.

Ouch! Too bad for all of us. I was going to order two sets if they fit your car. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

1928-1935 PAD , DOORS JAMB [DOOR SIDE BUMPERS] .ATWOOD # 4220091 1928-31 MOST CLOSED BODIES , 1932 -35 OPEN BODIES. STEELE PART # 70-1155-71 ..... THEY WERE $6.00 /EACH.... If they still have them you must sand them down some...to fit ..not by much.. thickness is to thick but everything else lines up.... your sanding on the outside of the rubber block which you will see but it cleans up nicely... let me know how you make out.. on the part ... these rubber parts are under CHEVROLET not FORD...
