valve cover
Can the valve cover be removed without having to remove the mainfolds?

Re: valve cover
There ae two bolts holding the valve cover plate that are behind the downspout of the exhaust maniflod. They are awkward to get to but it is possible with a 1/2" open end wrench. I dont recommend doing it with a hot manifold. Ask me how I know.

Re: valve cover
I've removed the valve cover with carb etc sitll on a couple of times to redo my valves. Like Ken said, you need an open end wrench in a couple of places but really no big deal.
