I have a 59 Galaxie 500 with 332 engine I would like to change to a later 353 or 352. What are my options as for ease of installation. Also changing from a manual to automatic at the same time.

Sorry for mistype should be 351 vice 353

Any FE series engine should be an easy swap. These would include, 352, 390, 406, 410, 427, 428, etc.

I think he means a 351 Windsor,it's an EZ swap that can be done with over the counter Ford mounts but I suggest you go here for the answer:http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/s...ial-group.282/ Do an intro when you get there and I'll give you a link with all the info you need in one huge file our members have put together.

I had a '59 Ranchero with a '79 351W & a C4 behind it . One of the best running old cars I ever had . Not the fastest car around , but it sure ran & cruised nice !
