Front seat cushion retainer
I do not have anything attached to the bottom side of my front seat spring/cushion to engage in these two retainers. Any help as to what they might look like if there should be something there? Thanks.

Re: Front seat cushion retainer
Al, I'm glad you brought this up, my 31 CCPU has the same bottom frame and they put two big bolts fastened to the bottom seat spring with big washers. The bolts don't fit in that little bracket welded to the seat frame and I don't have a Model A pickup close by where I can see what is supposed to be there. Hopefully someone will answer your request and we both can see what is suppose to be there.

Re: Front seat cushion retainer
It is my understanding that that bracket and it's mate on the other side are to keep the "fingers" of the bottom seat cushion from going sideways. Nothing goes into the opening.

Re: Front seat cushion retainer
Perfect topic as I'm in the same 'boat' as Al Mack and MrBruce. Need my springs covered first, but before I do...how they fit on riser has me stumped. If katy is correct, than the seat just sits on top of the riser with nothing holding it down?
I've not found any pics nor anything in print that explains how the RPU seats fit. Craig |

Re: Front seat cushion retainer
The only thing that holds the seat down is the driver and passenger(s).

Re: Front seat cushion retainer
Slide the bottom cushion in as far as it will go. Then place the back cushion in the hooks and on top of the bottom cushion. Next, place butt on seat and drive.
