Default Door Gaps

Is/was there a special made tool to cold bend door hinges to adjust door gaps and if there is one, has anyone got a diagram or photo of it?

I used a combination of shims behind the hinges and welding & grinding a bead on the door edges, as necessary to get the gaps perfect. I got carried away and forgot that Henry never made a 100 point car..................
