Bluzrocker, welcome to the Ford Barn.

What kind of seat do you have in place now or is it a restoration with nothing in place like my Briggs Sdn?

I think short of remaking the seat frame in the car you are stuck. Just screw seat all of the way back. If the seat is apart you may be able to use shorter seat back springs?

There was a post that mentioned this a while back. The poster, who goes by Eagle sent me the following PM about what he did to his car:

The seat bottom is screwed down to the floor, simple to take out those screws. The seat back is fastened to the door post via a steel bracket. Remove that and use two L brackets to make a dog leg, and then when the seat is moved back fasten the dog leg bracket in place of the original bracket. Use some matching fabric to cover the door post and seat side as it will now be exposed. Re-screw the seat down to the floor. It will be simple to see if you look it over. Mine moved back 2+ inches, it is very comfortable now but was very unsafe as I would get my legs caught under the steering wheel and couldn't get to the brake. I also bent the shifter to the right some. Just grab ahold of it and bend it, its not hard.
