Default Model A GAMARAI in Iowa This Week
The Central Iowa Model A Club's GAMARAI (Great Annual Model A Ride Across Iowa) begins this week! Hopefully next weekend will be pictures posted of the ride. There are 42 cars and 79 people from 7 states participating. The ride will visit many sites in NW Iowa.

It is a great tradition in Iowa to promote the Model A hobby.

42 cars!!! I feel sorry for anyone in a regular car that gets behind that parade.

Two of the cars will be mine, a couple from California are coming back to go on GAMARAI so I am furnishing them a car. Participation seems to increase each year, a good sign.

Our small group looks forward to GAMARAI, it is such a well planned and interesting tour. I would encourage anyone who hasn't went before to plan on going next year.

What will be the total mileage, How many days will you be on the road, and are you going to stay off the interstates?

Not sure about the actual mileage but will be on the road a total of 4 days...Thurs thru Sunday. I would guess around 500 miles or so. According to the route, it doesn't appear there will be any interstate driving.

We still have 2 lane roads in Iowa Glenn!!!

Not going to Spirit Lake according to the itinerary. The towns visited are mentioned on the link I provided above about the tour.
