Were is FLOP?
I haven't seen a post or update to an old one from Flop, what is he working on now? Hope to see him at Hershey. Bob

Re: Were is FLOP?
He is still around (-he just posted 49 minutes ago on Facebook.) and has been working on a 1932 Ford 3-window body lately.

Re: Were is FLOP?
Thanks! Glad he is still going strong, I'm too old to understand Facebook, another loss for Ford Barn. Bob

Re: Were is FLOP?
So who said what that drove him away from the Ford Barn? Bob

Re: Were is FLOP?
Bob, I'm not sure anyone or anything "drove him away". He is working on a hot rod project that is not a Model-A, ...thus not much reason to post about it. He's still doing fantastic work. Here is some pix of what he is working on;

Re: Were is FLOP?
So nice I'm guessing he is fine tuneing a Brookville. I like the rear wheel well treatment. Bob

Re: Were is FLOP?
So I'm set up on Facebook, but rarely use it so don't know a whole lot about it. When I look on Flop's page there's nothing there that isn't 6 months old - do I need to be a "friend" in order to see up to date posts? On Brent Terry's page I can view lots of recent pictures, etc. Are there different settings the poster can use to determine who can or can't view all posts?
Brent, if you see this, is there a reason you prefer to post so many pictures, etc. on Facebook rather than on you webpage? |

Re: Were is FLOP?
Quote:
Yes, you would need to be a friend of Flops to see many of the pictures as he has his privacy settings set higher. And, I suppose it depends on which Facebook page you are looking at (personal vs. company). Mine are slightly higher on my personal page than the co. page however I still am fairly transparent there too, --more transparent than others including Flop anyway. My company Facebook page has more up-to-date projects on it mainly because it is easier for me to upload there. My company website is much more difficult to upload pictures to where I generally must pay a 'techie' to do so. In addition to that, while we are most widely known for Model-A restorations, we do other marques too (which you will see on the FB pages) but the model-a-ford.com website is strictly for information on Model-A projects. The model-a-ford.com website has enough information on it (pictures/verbiage/etc.) that demonstrates to a potential client looking on the web that we have the experience and tools necessary to meet their needs. Within reason, if a project is 3 or 4 years old there, it really does not matter to them. Facebook is just another place to advertise for us and new postings there keep it towards the forefront. That is why I add newly completed projects there every couple months. |

Re: Were is FLOP?
Guess Flop is working for a younger crowd, sad because old guys like me enjoyed seeing his work. Bob

Re: Were is FLOP?
I joined the H.A.M.B. site this weekend just to look for him. He has many threads on it. I just like to see the work he does no matter what kind of car he is working on.

Follow this link for Flop's Fordbarn page. Then go to the lower left of the page and click on his "Flop Custom Facebook Page"
