Steering box Id?
Can someone help identify this box. Casting numbers
found appear to be 91a-3550. there is also a circled B and the number 10 on it. It was purchased as a 37 box, but does not look like one I have seen. There is no light or horn box switch accommodation on the bottom .a small hole only. Thanks for your help. sorry cannot seem to load pictures |

Re: Steering box Id?
Sent you a PM.
This is not going to be much help! Per the Green Book the assy numbers should be: 78 3504 37 81A 3504 38-39 01A 3504 40-41 21A 3504 41-47 The housing itself should be 3548. There is not a listing for 3550, it jumps to 355X which start the bearing and race numbering. There are no 91A prefixes on any of the parts. Last edited by JSeery; 03-28-2015 at 07:46 PM. |

Thanks Jseery. It looks like I have a 40 box. Now I must figure a
way to mount the 36 liights. Jim Haskins |

Re: Steering box Id?
Is it possible that it's missing part#3569 like in this diagram that the light switch goes in to?

Re: Steering box Id?
I think you should still be able to fish the horn rod through the cover ? Then you need the 2 bolt clip that attaches the switch
