Wonder if anyone has a measurement for the '40 pick-up hood latch operation rod p/n 01C-16674. I have the '40 standard rod and the latch will not operate correctly. All the Ford parts catalogs say the std and commercial rod is the same but the "green book" lists a special rod for the commercial hood latch. I can fabricate the rod but need the length. Thanks for any help! P.S. this is the rod that connects the hood release handle to the hook that latches the hood.
