Default It are "HOT"

Folks

I get to work at between 7:15 & 7:25am and I park my truck under trees in the shade. TODAY, I have not moved my truck until I had to run to the bank....THIS was the temperature on my truck thermometer, in the shade and not been moved since I parked it. Today's "feels like" was pegged at 114 and are faced with this for at least the next 6 days!!! It is HOT

You can always come North for the summer, 70 and wet here, kinda like reverse snowbirds.

I also am baking down here . My wife says I play harder than I ever worked . She’s right . But too little time to finish my projects . I’m actually thinking of selling 2 of my 21 stud , insert bearing running motors . I doubt I’ll have need for them as I sold my 34 . It’ll still leave me with 3 running mercs, and a couple of 59s . Time for someone else to care for them .
I don’t know what happened to my other paragraph, but here it is .
Its hot down here and the older I get the more it affects me . I have a chance to get my uncles body shop and 14 acres with a 3/2 log cabin , all in the poconos in Pa . Unfortunately I cant get my wife on board . Moving would be a hassel but currently Im linited to about 4 months of being able to work in the shop due to the heat . At least in Pa the shop is heated and I should have more time to finish some projects. Who else is considering a move ?

Don't move to Phoenix. Just finished 30 straight days of 110 or over and the nights didn't cool below 90. Where I'm at in Inland SoCal it wasn't much better.

Not to make lite of the hot temps this summer, especially in the south, but I
just want to add, that back in 1976, Me, my wife, and four kids were going to
celebrate the Centennial by taking the kids to Disney Land in late June, early
July for a good time.
When we started the journey home, the AC quit working on our van, and it
was like a blast furnace in the van with the windows down, we rolled up the
windows and it was a little better.
We came to a town called Blythe, CA. and found the nearest Motel, this
was the middle of the afternoon, the temp was 124 degrees and
when we asked the lady in the motel about the extreme heat, she said that
these temps there are fairly normal, now, that was almost 50 years ago.
We started the trip home again about 11 o'clock that night, and about cooked.
but by early morning, and getting a little further north, the temp was just
below a 100 degrees, and then with the windows down, and about 10 bags of
ice in the van, it felt good compared to what we had went through.
We did make it home a day and a half later and were really glad that the kids
took it pretty well.
We still refer to it as the trip to Hell and back...

Wow, not as bad as you....BUT it was 82 this morning at 6:45am.....Today's feels like is 117, the highest projected for the week....and will still have at least 7 more days of not much better forecast of heat and 110 + heat index's.

Any trip to Disney for me would be classified as "the trip to Hell and back".
