Default ID this Downdraft Carb setup

stumbled across this and was wondering if anyone had any ideas, it looks like an old banger down draft setup.

It looks like an early aftermarket Model A intake manifold by someone like R&R or Simmons. Most of those were actually inferior to the stock Ford manifold

Yes, ...and No. They are not necessarily a performace manifold set-up when you think of today's definition. They were more of a "performance item" because of AA Trucks needing to compete with the horsepower of the mid-thirties Ford V-8 trucks. This would help a 4 banger motor breathe a little better.

No one said they were not worth putting on. A lot of them were sold so they were perceived as an adequate power adder. I guess it all depends on what you are trying to accomplish w/ this manifold.

Don't forget to check just how high the gas inlet is, as it will be much higher than the stock "A" setup. If it is higher than the bottom of your gas tank, you will run out of gas much sooner. Yours looks pretty tall.
