Got my new project home today
This old gal saw the light of day for the first time in 40 years. A barn find. The body work is old. The plan is mild 8ba, t-5, 8 or 9 inch, stock body. Can't wait to get started. Pete

Pete, That's outstanding, I know you'll have fun with it. Like John says "bring it to Florida so we can all have fun with it!" Vic

Re: Got my new project home today
Update on panel project. I removed the body from the frame. Hardest job was getting the running boards off. I think they can be saved. If not anyone know if repos are made for panel. Next is to clean the frame and order frame parts to mount t-5. Picture follow. Gas tank is junk.
ps: first time I used mechanic gloves saved my hands from cuts and scrapes I recommend them. Pete |

Re: Got my new project home today
Pete, The panel uses the same running board as a 1940 1/2 Ton Pickup. They are reproduced in steel. One vendor I know of is Northern Classic Trucks, Inc. in Michigan. Their products are high quality. Used ones do show up on eBay if you decide to go that route. Dennis/Arkansas

Re: Got my new project home today
Thanks Dennis, I looked up their web site. Looks like a good source for repair panels.

Re: Got my new project home today
Yeah Pete, they are an excellent source for patch panels. I used their floor boards, rockers and lower cowls sections. They fit incredibly well and are exact duplicates of originals. Todd, the owner, is very willing to answer any questions you have on installation. Dennis/Arkansas
