1940 woody with the metal front top trim piece missing. They always destroy the original pieces when they take the tacks out to remove it so someone has to be making this piece. I have a picture attached to show the piece I'm taking about. Does any one know someone that is making this piece I can contact?

A guy named Duane in the Portland Oregon area used to make 40 woodie rain gutters out of steel and the front piece you seek. I got a set for mine years ago and they were expensive but fit nice. He no longer does that and I don't know if anyone got his dies to continue the practice. Someone is making the rain gutters and front piece out of aluminum. I saw them on ebay I think or maybe in the Woodie Times. I am just finishing up my car myself.

I have them for the 41-8 woodies ,as well as the side drip mouldings I think the 40 you need might be close to the later40ies.and one could be modified. Johnny [email protected]

John, I think the part number I need for the 1940 piece is 01A-7951550. Do you have a source to check and see if this part number is the same for the 1941 woody? I could use that piece you have for the 1941 woody if they are the same piece or part number I would think.
