Default 1936 Shop Manual?

Is there a service or shop manual for the early Fords, specifically the 1936 I have?

We have decided to keep the mechanical brakes, so I'm looking for a detailed procedure for adjusting them.

I haven't taken a close look yet, so maybe it will be blatantly obvious what's going on down there.

Is the Faxon Auto Literature stuff for '32-'37 decent? Looks like a collection of service bulletins.

is that the thin one with a green cover? if it is it had good instructions on how to adjust your brakes. reed it carefully and don't skip any steps. I have done it a few times and always have to look back at it

Those are actually a reprint of books offered by NAPA in the 1930's...1932-36, 1937-8, 1939-40. There were also Chevy and Plymouth volumes.
They are wonderful...thin little books that contain an unbelievable amount of information.

Service bulletins, the '28-36 edition of the parts book, and the Canadian 1946 Sop manual would add up to a good basic set in my opinion...
The 1946 manual does not cover 1936, of course, but it gives good detailed information that is broadly applicable to 1932-48. It has been reprinted with various titles, like 1939-48 Shop manual.
