Default Shiftin' Gears without grinding

I thought I was good at at upshifting. No double clutchin' and only grinding the gears about a quarter of the time. After readin' this, http://www.gus-stories.org/september_1925.htm, I realized I weren't as hot as I thought at shiftin'. Tried that shift to 2nd after ten feet... works like a charm and takes no skill. Gus sure knows what he's talkin' about. His advice takes all the work out a shiftin'. No need for for these modern transmission conversions now!

Good read. Check out the used car letter. Hmmmm? Not all car dealers ar honest. Judging from the pick the letter is about 15 years later.

Hope you fellas don't mind if I chime in here. Being new to this Model A driving thing, I followed the instructions to a Tee. I can now Upshift (double clutching) with no grinding and also downshift by revving the engine until I hear the right RPM and I can slip the gear right on down.

Even my wife is impressed.......and that's saying something..............
