Default Split windshield F1?

Anyone ever see a F1 with a two piece windshield? I was watching an Abbot and Costello movie and they show an F1 driving towards you and it had a split windshield, I've never seen a split windshield F1. It was a 48-50.

Nope, all were 1 piece. Could you tell it was 2 piece from a distance or was it during a closeup shot? If it was a closeup, then it was an earlier truck.

It was a full front shot. I could see from the tires to the roof. I'll try to see if I can take a picture of the tv screen and post.

Saw a ad for a 1948 F1 with a split windshield in a magazine introducing the "New 1948 Ford F1". I'm sure it was a prototype vehicle before production began.

Ok, I looked at the photo and it's clear that the film production company put that center section on the windshield (I would guess in post production as its not to scale…”too big” for the truck) most likely because they wanted to disguise the brand of truck.

Here's your picture. I agree it just simply doesn't look right. Definitely a post-production thing in my opinion as well. But if they were trying to hide the make of the truck, one would think they would have tried to remove the "FORD" on the front valence above the grill. Very strange.

Fenders look too wide for anything but F7/8. The windshield is odd - too square at the top - compare with my 52 below. It just looks pieced together if you ask me.... maybe 47 cab with 48 front end pieces.
