Default Body and bed weight & shipping options

Hello,

I have been trying to research with no luck. How much a 30/31
roadster pickup cab (body only) weights?
model a pickup narrow bed weights?
closed cab (body only) weights?

Lastly anyone know of good trucking company/shipping options to get a roadster pickup cab and bed from california to the midwest and back east?

I would like to go with a shipping service that can pickup within a few days

Thank you!

You might try "Engine Bill"

Bill runs a private transport using his own open truck. He actually makes a living moving machinery (one-lunger engines, machine tools) across the country for willing clients.

I used him once. He moved an 1880 Brown & Sharpe flat belt milling machine from California to Cow Hampshire for me - a machine that weighed nearly a ton - for about $600.

This would certainly be in his capability - he moves a lot of automobiles across the nation as his truck has a tilt bed. He might even be able to "fit" it onto his truck for transport alongside some other something which may (hopeful thinking here) lower your incremental price.

Bill can be reached through the Practical Machinist Web Board http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb...inery-history/ either Email or Private Message (if you're a member), or you could try googling him at an address I will send by PM.

Hope this helps,
Joe K

My experience has been that if you want it moved quickly, you will pay top dollar !

Good morning, Call Brookville and they will know the shipping weights of their roadster pkup body and bed, I wouldn't think it would be to much different. Most shippers are going to want you to crate these items and have them pallet jackable.Good luck , Frank
