Default Edmunds RACING manifolds

I was just over looking at stuff on eBay. I find it interesting that there are currently not two, but THREE Edmunds Racing manifolds (2 four bolt carbs) for sale at one time. I guess they're not as rare as I thought. I've always kind of wanted one; it might just be the ticket for a big inch high performance build. Anybody have any experience with them?

I could only find 2, I have one in like new cond., but it is not for sale. I bought it to put on my 51 Merc. over 15 years ago, but never got around to it yet.. I wonder how hard it is to find those carbs the one fellow has. I doubt he will sell that manifold and carbs. at that price, but you never know.

We ran Dodge and Rochester four bolt carbs on our round track cars with Merc manifolds, since there should be plenty of jets available for them, they might be easier to find than the Strombergs.

Hers the WW Stromberg carb, i bought two new ones in the box off EBay.
Fits the 1953 Dodge Hemis with two barrel carfb. Two of them should flow enough for a modified flathead ??

I'd check it, and if there was enough "meat", I'd bore them out for 2GC's. I have a 2GC on a Merc manifold and the 2GC throttle bores are about 1/8" bigger than the Merc. Given the relative availability and cost of the carbs/parts, it's no-brainer.

The good 2gs have been hard to find lately. They made a 500 cfm 2 G Rochester for a while , that would give us 1000 cfm , that should choke a flathead for sure...
We dynoed one of our flatheads with a 800 cfm holley , lost a ton of power !!!!!

those large 2gc's start at 350cfm and go up to like 500cfm for the racing versions.... 700cfm is like running 4 and a half stromberg 97's...

Bubba, Do you know what the WW's flow? Using straight tops or 90* tops? I have both.

For sure, the small base 2GC's are hard to find these days; luckily I have a box full of cores. (As far as I'm concerned, large base 2GC's are of no interest since they don't bolt to anything I'm even remotely interested in.) However, they still have to be easier to find than a lot of the other 4 bolt two barrel carbs. I am still looking for the third matching carb for the tri-carb setup on the Olds for my race car (the manifold came with one carb still bolted on). '55 Dodge truck V8, if anyone has one.
