Default Fuel leak at steering bracket

I have a problem with fuel leaking from the fuel tank where the steering column bracket attaches. Does anyone know if there is an epoxy that will seal the leak? I have a 29 Tudor and this is the next priority.
Thanks.

Gas leaks in the cab are real dangerous. Pull the tank and have someone that knows what they are doing re-solder it.

I had a 29 coupe that leaked at the steering bracket. The first thing I did was install the later bracket that attaches to the dash rail. This takes the pressure off the early bracket so that each time you enter and leave the car you are not pulling on it by grasping the steering wheel.

There is a thread here in the archives that show you how to do it. You have to make an adapter and you can buy the later bracket from most any Model A supplier. The task is not that difficult.

The second thing I did was go to a boat supply and get some of the epoxy they use for sealing leaks in boats. I applied it around the old bracket and it sealed the leak.
