Re: 40 truck electric wipers
Cab on the big trucks and P/U's are the same so my guess is the panel would be the same also. The Newport kit includes a jig to drill the hole for the passenger side wiper.

Re: 40 truck electric wipers
one thing to note, with the addition of the pass side wiper the glove box may need to be modified. I put a kit from Drake, I think, on mine and wish I had not done it!

I've got Newport on my 41. Work great. If you want just one wiper, single speed, check out Mighty Wiper in Washington.

Re: 40 truck electric wipers
On my '41 pickup I went with Drake's unit. The plan submitted for drilling holes and mounting the motor was off and I caught it by looking carefully and made the necessary adjustment. Also the driving arm for the passenger side would have gone thru the glove box so I eliminated it. I didn't install the wiper blades so no matter. A pretty dumb set up.

Re: 40 truck electric wipers
Thanks guys. I'm not too worried about the glove box because I'm putting my fuse block and relays on the inside of the lid. I would like my vent to stay functional.
