Good question. The engine in my pickup is the same color. It's a 59A. So is that the right color for 46 to 48?

The paint is antique Ford green, it's the same from 1928 Model A to 41 in 42 they went to a dark blue. Walt

I got a can from Mac's, #M200. It comes out so dark it's almost black. I wonder if it was just a bad batch. I was going to use it to recolor the Skips rebuilt water pumps. I ended up leaving them in the color he uses.

Hope,
Thats a good looking power plant. Your 40 will wear it proud for many miles. Will you be ready for a ride in the later part of August?

I sure would like to hear that Flathead run, but it wont be anytime soon. You see i'm 76 years old (same as Walt) LoL and i work real "slow" and on top of that my back has given me a lot of trouble lately, and i've stil got a lot of work to do, some of it on my back under the car. If i can figure out why my computer wont let me post a picture i'll put one on.

Hi Hope, I have an engine built by Ol'RON with around 20,000 mi on it and runs like a Deer. We must be 2 of the smartest flathead guys to use these 2 guys and we live 20 mi apart! Go figure. Tell us what you are putting the engine in.
Regards, Don

Hi Leo, my daughter just go my printer working with my new computer. For awhile I couldn't get pic out of my camrao and post them on the barn. She posted that little bit last night just to show me it works. I was going to tell the boys what was in the engine. 59 block - 276ci- 3-5/16+4in.- L-100 cam- 9.5 heads - it going to have dual carbs. Should be pretty snappy. Walt
