Default build date?

Is there a way to determine the approximate build date of a 1960s Ford from the serial number? I have a 64 Galaxie convertible and was curious as when in the model year it might have been built.
The VIN number is 4A65X194943.
thanks,

The last six digits are the serial number for the body, then the whole car as its assembled. They are not consecutive after the first one. Sometimes they wait for weeks for the correct options to arrive in the plant for assembly.

Bob,
Thanks for the VIN code web recommendation. The date code provides day and month.
Thanks again,
