Default Sparton turn signal

Is this an after-market item? Says Sparton on the top. No idea what the steering column is from, barn stuff.

I believe it is after market. Not sure when turn signals became pretty much standard items. When was it, 60's?

Since I have a Montgomery wards heater and a Motolever brake handle extension, think it might fit in as a typical 40's to 50's aftermarket?
