Getting a title in Michigan
I know the process for getting a title in Michigan, but my problem is the appraisal to establish the value of the vehicle-the cutoff point is $2500, where a surety bond is required above that figure. I have a rough, non-running " Barn find" '25 Tudor sedan. The online NADA has Model T's, but only 1926s, and even their lowest condition is far above the condition of my car. Kelly and Edmunds sites don't seem to have listing for old cars at all.How would I get an appraisal of this vehicle to attach with the other required paperwork?

Re: Getting a title in Michigan
Start by looking on ebay for similar cars and what they have sold for not listings prices. There is an advance search button on the right side. click on it an type in 1924 or 1925 two door. If you have a bill of sale is it under that amount and can you provide a paper trail that shows what you paid for it.

That's a thought-I already have other vehicles insured with them.

Re: Getting a title in Michigan
The instructions from the Michigan Secretary of State specify that a value must be assigned by either one of the online services like NADA, or a "registered Dealer"

Re: Getting a title in Michigan
See post 5. I have done it twice. Spend the money and get a professional written appraisal or pay the consequences. Wayne
