Re: 34 gearbox to model A torque tube
Not knowing the whole project I am going to take a shot in the dark and add a bit to Fred's post. Remember that the mount for the brake and clutch pedals and the mount for the wishbone is not on the '34 transmission. You will have to fab something.

Re: 34 gearbox to model A torque tube
Thanks,
The project is just getting a bunch of leftover parts into a going roller to flip. Model A chassis with front and rear ends and I have a set of 16 inch wires and a 21 stud late 36 motor and 34 gearbox to throw into it. I may or may not fab some pedals to make it a complete driver, will see how it pans out. |

You can buy the brackets to mount the pedals from some of the parts sellers.

Re: 34 gearbox to model A torque tube
You will need a bell housing spacer to fit a v8 transmission to a Model A torque tube. The usual suppliers sell the kit for $475. It also includes the brackets for pedals and e brake handle.

Pooch, it will bolt right up but you need to use the V8 torque tube bell vs the Model A. I did it with a '35 gearbox.

Re: 34 gearbox to model A torque tube
I got one with a 39 trans and a model A rear. All I can think of that was mentioned above was the kit with the aluminum bell housing adapter to bolt a model A motor to a V8 transmission

Re: 34 gearbox to model A torque tube
1. The V8 and Model A use the same U-joint. The "clamshell" pieces that bolt the transmission to the torque tube must be the 4-bolt V8 style rather than the 6-bolt Model a style ... easy.
2. Cling's has the adapters for the wishbone (unless you plan to split the bone), pedals, and e-brake which they sell separately. https://www.clingsaftermarket.com/pr...=Transmissions 3. If you are using the V8, of course you will not need a bell housing adapter.
