Default 1938 Ford 221" crank shaft

I am in need of a crank shaft for my 221" flat head V8, peferably a standard one, not one that has been oversized. Does anyone out there have one or know where I can purchase one? Thanks

I believe 36LB, 37 and early 38, 21 stud engines, would all use the same crankshaft. Not sure the early 24 stud engines would use the same crank. You may want to consider placing a want ad here in the swap section.

Leonard>>>The year of the engine is 1938 >>>

The question, Leonard, is really --- is it a 21-stud or 24-stud engine. Early 38s are the former --- later 38s the latter. I'm not sure if the cranks are the same either?

If the crank snout is the small, short one, the crankshaft is the same 36LB, 37,38 engines.
If the crank snout is the larger, longer one, the crankshaft is the same as 91A, 01A, 11A and 21A engines.

Those crank spec are the same as 36LB - 37-early 38 Everdently the late 38 24 stud still used the early crank. I thought when they went to 24 stud they went to longer and 2-1/2 main, but I guess not. Walt

The short crank 24 stud was '38 only...the long crank came in to support the low mounted fan in '39. Short can be distinguished because nose of crank is close to flush with front of front cover. Also, it would normally have a single row pulley with no snout on pulley, crank nut right back against pulley face. A '39 up with single sheave has a tubular extension on pulley moving the nut out front more.
