1922-25 T Horn plus a Sparton Horn
City:
Fort Loramie
State:
OH
Price:
$75
Pictured here are two horns, the right hand horn is a Model T Horn for 1922 to 1925 per page 322 of the book "Model T Ford the Car that Changed the World". This book also states the T horn with a different bracket fits 1926 and 1927. The other horn looks to me like a Sparton due to the tag, plus I recognize the motor frame which looks very similar to a Model A Sparton motor and motor frame. I did not try to see if either horn would function. As is, but I think they would clean up. Shipping would be additional depending on distance. Thanks for looking.

Re: 1922-25 T Horn plus a Sparton Horn
just FYI...second horn is not Model A Sparton. The electrical terminals are under the motor cover on a Model A, not external as pictured.

I just meant the motor and motor frame, not how it's wired externally.

Looks like a different dia body flange than the Model A horn also. Rod

Re: 1922-25 T Horn plus a Sparton Horn
I cleaned the mud off the Model T horn. I did not see a Ford Script, but it has a lot of enamel paint and it might still be there. The horn conforms to these dimensions: 10" total length, 8" projector length, 3.0" projector diameter. On the back motor cover it has "MADE IN", below that is a diamond <>, and below that is "USA". If it is anything like a Model A horn, a diamond indicates AMES made by the Heinze Electric Company. It definitely is a Model T horn because I identified it from the photo in the book I noted. Please note that this horn is not pristine. It has some dings in the front edge of the projector and a small dent in the projector body, plus a bit of surface rust.
I'll take $40 plus shipping. Thanks. |
