1926-7 T roadster pu box info wanted
A good friend of mine is working on a 26-27 roadster PU that came in a number of baskets. The PU box has him trying to find out if there were any cross braces under the wood floor?.Some parts catalogs show cross braces with a flange on them, but can't figure out what they bolt to on the ends?.Did they come with the braces, or is the catalog wrong?.Also what holds the metal battery box cover down, gravity?. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks guy's.PM me here or at [email protected]

The battery door is held between the wood floor planks, a snug fit only.
There are no cross braces to the bed. The wood planks are carriage bolted to the side metal, front metal, and rear metal. The metal strips down each board are held with carriage bolts and special square washers underneath. The center hump plate over the rear frame crossmember is riveted to two of those metal strips, and bolted to the ends of the boards. |
