'36 dist equip Q..
Here's two pics of a dist that I've got. I'm trying to get correct dist/parts to have a rebuilder to setup for my '36 stock engine.
What year(s) will the pictured dist work on, and is it 'correct' for my '36 |

That is a little later dizzy. 37-41.
I believe there is actually 2 different coils for 36. Early 36 and late 36. |

Yeah, I have two 'inner' caps that are numbered starting with 68- ! So, it will work, but is there a better working model out of the three, i.e.- early '36;late '36 or the model that I've pictured ? BTW- I'm for the 'best' running equipment, just thot that I had to use original model. I also have a complete crab, but do not want to all extra hassle to use that right now(diff plate or diff cover, etc). |

Re: '36 dist equip Q..
There are adapter plates out there to go from the helmet(3bolt) to the crab(2bolt). But maybe that's what you meant about the dizzy plate.

3 to 2 info. Although you mentioned you didn't want to hassle with the conversion. So this may be mute...

Re: '36 dist equip Q..
Hey Tinker,
Thanks! A fordbarn bud tells me that he has the adaptor necessary to ease the hassle ! Hassle in my case , is knowing limits with current circumstances..not from lack of initiative! Young at heart...makes is not absolutely moot,eh! |
