Really like the visor and now I am going to serious consider adding one to my slant because the darn front window does leak at the top hinge location and this will solve that problem, plus it just looks good !

Stand in front of a mirror and practice saying,"Yes, this is an example of a very rare and extremely valuable slant windshield Model A with a visor" until you have it down pat and can keep a straight face. A little work with PhotoShop and you can probably also create a period-correct sepia-toned photograph showing what it looked like when the original owner first bought it.

I like it as it is. But in fairness to slants, the wind noise over 50 mph is considerably less in my slant than on my 30 pickup. Wind noise on my slant is negligible, even at 65. But that being said, I would not remove whats on your car unless that noise got to me. The other great advantages to a slant are legroom, a comfortable and adjustable seat and a more comfortable steering column angle. The visor doesn't affect those at all.

There were many reasons ( some already mentioned ) why Henry built the slant window with sun visor on the inside . I have a late model slant and love it without the exterior sun visor. You pay a premium for a slant , but it is worth it .

I have a Slant and I welcome any info on why the 1931 Slant Window sedan was designed, with the structural steel body, slanted windshield, inside visors, and other changes, compared to the earlier town sedans with lots of wood framing in the floors and doors. I would like to learn about this because I cannot find this info in any of my Model A books. Thank you.
