Throttle Rod to Stromberg 97
Guys,
I don't understand how the throttle rod from the dash connects to the left side shaft on my Stromberg 97. There must be some type of linkage that allows the throttle to move with your foot while not moving the throttle rod. This is on a 35 coupe. Thanks much, Peder |

Re: Throttle Rod to Stromberg 97
That cap is pinned solid to the shaft, the lever has a tab that engages a tab on the cap in such a way that lever movement increases throttle opening but stepping on gas pedal can rotate throttle shaft further. Lever rotates freely except for the engagement of tabs...
Parts, commonly missing on the carbs as found, are fortunately shown online in the parts drawings posted by Mac VanPelt: http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/F...bs_strombg.jpg |
