Arrow What a better combo Stromberg 97's or 81's

I am curious as to what would be the best combo and why - 2,81's or 2,97's on a 3/4 race flatty w/4" crank ? Thanks

Best throttle response - I think - would be three 81's, straight linkage!

Two 97s. Why? Because I assume (a) you only have a two-duece manifold available (b) you only have a pair of 97s and 81s available, and (c) you're running a fairly sizeable ci flathead and the 97s seem to be a better cfm match to your motor than the smaller 81s. http://www.vintagespeed.com/newprod.htm

I AGREE,

That is a big enough engine to stand 2 48's. These are not only a bit bigger then 97's they do not cost as much and are often overlooked.

My Opinion,

Chris

I like the two 48s also..If you had a 3x2 intake the 81s would run great..
