Re: Disconnect switch
I put one of the Cole Hearse switches in the 29 sport coupe I recently finished, little pricey but I've never seen one fail, under the hood in the motor mount square hole by the starter, I like to look under the hood when I ran the car, before running you can check the oil and see if there were any cold water leaks and when you park it same thing make sure all is good under the hood, this was a customers car and I put about 400 miles on it before I gave it back many of them were not city miles but on the highway and crusing, yeah I wanted to see under the hood after each trip.

Re: Disconnect switch
i bought a mains-switch and put it into the board next to the pedals. It is very easy to reach there, the 'handle' bit can be taken out and act as an additional security device. Maybe not 'original' looking but it serves the purpose.
and, of course, between the battery and the frame... |
