Re: Paint Availability
Most likely you cannot buy Lacquer at most if any auto paint stores now. Too many VOC's in Lacquer and is banned in some parts of the country.

Re: Paint Availability
Do you have a good sample of the colors you want ? If so, most automotive paint suppliers will scan your sample and mix the paint for you.

Re: Paint Availability
Last I checked, PPG still offers Lacquer paint in their catalog. However, good luck finding a local paint store that stocks it. The Black enamel should be an instore stock item though.
Best of luck.

Re: Paint Availability
I thank you all for the quick response.
The lacquer is banned here in NYS. I will try the three places recommended on Monday. Bob H. |

Re: Paint Availability
Try this. [email protected] or phone 848-448-8186. They Have acrylic lacquer and thinners and other paint supplies. I got this info off the HAMB site a while back. I haven't haven't tried them yet. It should be worth a look. Good slow lacquer thinner suitable for painting is expensive and usually hard to come by. good luck.

Re: Paint Availability
I ordered the paint from TCP Global.
Mike V. Florida was correct. They had the best price of anyone. Thanks again to all who took the time to reply to my request. Bob H. |
