Default hastings rings

Im putting together an A motor and using new pistons with new hastings rings. Where does the ring with a bevel go? Im thinking its the second groove (with top dot up bevel is down) but wanted some backup knowledge on this. The top ring would have no bevel and go on either way then(no top dot) is this correct? Oil rings no problom. There is no info or numbering of rings in the box, only gap info. Thanks, Sam

If you still have the box look at the flaps that cover the rings, they will be marked.

Bevel ring is the center ring. (One down from the top. Look at the ring carefully...about 1/2" from the split you will find a small dot. The dot goes up.
I recently received shipment of a set of Hastings rings that did not have this dot and I will be sending them back as I do not trust that this set is correct.
When the dot is facing up, the bevel is down.

Hope this helps.
Good Day!
