Cars are under cover, hatches battened, generator at the ready, kerosene lamps filled, flashlights in strategic locations, plenty of food, some spare water, lots of spare beer, car gas tank filled, spare gas for generator, gazebo roof removed and put in the barn, lawn chairs in the barn, 3 days of stove wood in the house, bungie cords around the wind chime, books to read. As ready as we can be.

Everything good here on Gwynn's Island so Far. Tarp blew off the TT truck.

NWS is showing the H symbol right over my house at 8am (I am not kidding left edge of the circle). Tracking Map

Trees and branches in our area have been culled this summer with the Deretcheo. The trees are tested to over 80 MPH Just a matter of which branches will fall out of the trees. Generator is ready and we have plenty of food. Work is closed so I get to stay home with the family.

The people who live on the barrier islands are going to get wet. It is never a good thing for them when the ocean tries to meet the back bay over the sand bar they live on.

My job will have me on the water in Long Island Sound until conditions get to severe.
That leaves the wife at home with my daughter and grandsons but she is used to that.
Plenty of food in the house and gas for the generator on hand.
Should be an epic event.
Good luck to all....
