Default 1932 Aussie phaeton/roadster

Can anyone tell me whether the interior door handle(s) from a 30-31 roadster/phaeton will work on a 32 aussie open car? The internal "square" that fits over the rotating part of the latch is so worn that it doesn't catch and turn the latch. I have posted some pics of the original handle that I have and an original latch.

Ted and Sheldon....Thanks for the replies. The latches I am using are NOT the ones in the pics. They are some extras I have. Mine are pretty nice. I can weld the handle up but machining a square hole with a round cutter is hard to do. However, I am gonna give it a shot. Just looking for an easier solution but I guess if I want that I should take up another hobby.

The handles shown in your photos were indeed used on later Model A open cars as well as on '32-'34 station wagons and on '33-'34 phaetons and roadsters. Die cast reproductions are available which, of course, lack the steel insert. Originals without cracks in the inserts do show up from time to time, but they seem to be relatively scarce and expensive.

I'm going to TIG the flats then run a very small endmill across the weld to flatten it out. Should work.

It appears that the handle in your photo is bent in the middle and will likely not clear the trip panel when installed. That portion of the handle is made of sheet brass.
