Default muffler and exhaust system

My friend with a '51 Ford F 1 is in the process of sort of a restoration. (He calls it a gentle fix-up but we have removed the doors, the bed, rewired, and installed new motor and body mounts) Now we are looking for a new cross over pipe (it's a flathead V8) and a muffler system. He tells me the usual parts suppliers are no longer carrying exhaust systems. Where are we to look now? My Model A exhaust system is available everywhere.

Waldron's Exhaust. Google it.

They provided a fully stainless dual exhaust for my '51 F1 for very reasonable. I think it was around $650.00. They shipped through Fastenal, so shippinbg was cheap.

Thanks for the info John. We are only about 3 hours drive from Waldron's. Will contact them and see what we can do. I still can't understand why the other suppliers won't handle the exhaust systems. My friend saw them in the catalogs and when he called they said they no longer sold them.
Thanks again,
Marty

straight lenghts no problem if you can weld....sad; you can get everything for 32-53
stuff and they can't make a stupid pipe? any shop can such as midas and others..

Find an old school, non-franchise muffler shop they probably remember how to "create" a system for you.

Yes. A small town muffler shop with a pipe bender can come up with most anything required to make an exhaust system work. Thats what I've always done but my local guy retired this year so ......
