If I remember correct I think it is the 22nd. If not vending spots should be easy to pick. See you guys there. BILL W |

Re: Fitchburg mass meet
I'll be there with Al Clarke (Go Devil Garage) with his model A engine running. I wonder if we will be using it for a handwarmer this year?? Probably ought to start saving for gas money..........

Re: Fitchburg mass meet
I have been wanting to get up to that swap meet since I retired in 2004. This just might be my year to make it there. I have made tentative arrangements with a fellow Barner to pickup a radiator there and also with another Barner to look at his 3W coupe. If someone has the actual address of that location...us 'first timers' could just plug that info into our GPS and easily find our way.
I have to laugh a bit when I read the posts by the fair weather flea marketeers who may not show if the weather is not a go . I attended my first swap meet of 2012 yesterday at Frederick, MD. This was my final stop on my return trip from the Barner's Bash in Florida before pulling back into the old home base. The day started with light showers and turned into a heavy downpour by noon. The fair weather flea marketeers were scrambling everywhere packing up their wares and heading out of town. It was all I could do to try to run to each spot to see their stuff before it was all packed and out of there. I did manage to pickup a few very nice '35-'36 items from an indoor vendor who turned out to be a long time fellow V8er who happens to also belong to RG36 that I have been a member of for 30+ years. I also picked up a complete '32 steering box/column/drop/wheel at a great price. Then I ran into another V8er friend who bought two '35 Fords year before last and he is working diligently to get the dlx tudor back on the road whilst the convert sedan waits it's turn. I wound up having a great flea day in the rain and then finally arrived back home that afternoon. Another great V8ing trip comes to an end. I hope to see a bunch of my Barner and other EFV8 friends at this years Fitchburg Show/Swap

Re: Fitchburg mass meet
Most people with any common sense pack up when its a fairly heavy rainfall. Only people that are $$ hungry stay and vend in the rain.People with a bunch of rusty iron could care less if it gets wet. ha ha ha. Ken ct your fair weather vendor. Spaces 217 + 216 3rd row of vendors
