32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
Here is my 32 Ford model BB Dumptruck restoration. It took me about 2 years and was a lot of fun. I learned mig-weld, body work, and paint on this project. My father always said, The more you know, the more you know you don't know, and he was so right. With every project I feel more and more confident while I tackle the next one. I am now restoring my Dad's 72 Chevy C-20 pickup. Let the fun begin.

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
Just worked for me. You will see a picture of Harvey, from whom he bought the truck. Harvey's "inventory", as he calls it, makes those people on American nose pickers look like amateurs.

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
Great job and nice find! I love Model A and B trucks! It is something about their proportions. Love how you have tastefully updated it. Would love to stop by with the wagon when I get it done.
Keep V-8ing and 4-Banging!

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
Great job! Now where are we all going to find our' commercial' flat radiator caps? I have held one in 30 years. They are detailed in the V8 Ford clubs new 32 books. Newc

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
What a nice truck and a good job well done! I don't know why I ever said I didn't care for big trucks. From all of the nice big trucks I have seen on here I have changed my mind. Good job 32forddump and thanks for sharing your pictures with us.

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
Jim,
Come take a look at mine and you'll be right back to not caring for big trucks. From all of the nice big trucks I have seen on here, the more I don't care for them either.... they all are too nice to be called commercial trucks. OK I'm just insanely jealous. |

Re: 32 Ford Dumptruck restoration
I don't know. I guess there aren't enough of us for any one to manufacture them. But that is o.k., it looks fine without it. My next project is to try to stop that ford from leaking. I hear that when a Ford stops leaking it is out of oil. i hope I can prove that false. Thanks for replying
