32 3 window door handles

I bought a 32 Vicky, far from original, a couple weeks ago that came with a lot of parts. In the mix were a pair of outside door handles that I think are 3 window. Appears that someone modified the shaft on one, lengthen it, to possibly fit something else. What is the actual length supposed to be ?

Shaft length was 2 3/4".

So the long one is actually the right length and would just need to add some material to the shorter one for a really nice pair of handles. Now I just need to find that 3 window for the same price as the handles.

.The top one in your pic with the short shaft looks like the 33,34 4 door rear door handle to me.The other handle with the long shaft has had the shaft altered and appears to be the 33,34 4 door also. So in reality you have a nice pair of 33,34 4 door sedan rear door handles
. You could with the measurement David gave you do work on the shafts to make them 32 3W handles

Why not refer to the Ford hardware book for the real facts. I don't doubt DavidG's answer, as he is very knowledgeable. Perhaps he referred to the Ford hardware book.

The 2 3/4" shaft length is from the Ford Automotive Hardware and Trimming Supplies catalog.

The handle shafts have both been altered, shortened and lengthened.
The po of my Vicky also had a 5 window and he may have been altering to fit even though the bezels are different.
