Default Odd issue with my horn

Had some troubles with my horn a while back and thought I had things squared away. Lately it started acting up again and it took me a bit to figure it out. Ended up being a grounding problem between the two bolts that attach the horn body to the bracket that mounts onto the headlight bar. Got lucky and noticed a slight wiggle in that area so I grabbed a 7/16" wrench and gave the two bolts a tug. Now I don't think my horn has ever sounded so good. Sometimes it really is the simple things.

That's interesting. The horn gets it ground from a wire. I wouldn't think it matters wether it was bolted to the frame or not?? Anyone else have thoughts on this?

The horn doesn't use any grounding other than the horn button, if you have an original horn.
Some of the aftermarket horns may use a horn body ground.

If you look at the wiring diagram, the hot is connected to the horn continuously. The grd goes from the horn button connection down a wire thru the light switch at the bottom of the steering column and on thru a wire to the horn. So there are two wires, one hot,one the ground. So why does the the horn itself have to be grounded?

Don you got it right as it does have a relay. Didn't think about that.
I put it on quite some time ago when I was chasing other gremlins in the system. I could probably take it off now. But..... it is working like a champ so I think I will leave well enough alone.

So the horn should be isolated from the frame. Is that correct?

NO, Capitan, but if you wanted to, you could hang it with string, on the radiator support rod. One guy mounted his horn there, so no one would STEAL IT! Friend, Dennis, had to make 2 brackets, before he got it "right" to mount an OOGAH horn on his '34 Ford P.U! His truck is BLACK/WHITE & named, "TUX"! Like the MONKEY suit you RENTED to get MARRIED! How come the gals spend thousands for a wedding dress & we can only have second hand suits & shoes???---"SOMETHING"??? was wrong, in the beginning???--If I had it to do over again, I stay single & get a DOG I tole that to my Son, Gregg, (RIP) & he looked @ me "FUNNY"!---"Then who'd help you do the crummy/dirty repairs on Vermin"???---"I'd call Mitch//pa & he'd help me"
Pardon me for all this babbling, but Cindy jist sent me 96 JET-FUEL K-CUPS for my magic coffee machine & I'm WIRED!! Afraid to drive, I might git a DUI-J-F citation
