Default black out whitewalls?

Anyone have any tips as to how a guy might cover up the whitewall on a set of tires? These will be used on the road.
I know many years ago there was "tire paint" available that worked fairly well for this purpose. Used car lots would use it to cover curb rash.

Go to a store that specializes in automotive paints.

The best thing, in the world, to cover up white walls is ....... Ready for this ? Is BLACK STOVE POLISH.
Be sure to use gloves, as how this stuff will stain metal, just think what it would do to rubber, or your hands.
The rear tires on this replica racer are white walls, being treated about five years ago.
BLACK STOVE POLISH is also the best for treating your black tires and running boards.
Try it, you will be amazed.
ACE HARDWARE carries it, or will order it for you. Fireplace stores will have it, too
Don't use a paint.

There was mention of using stove black for running board covers. Why wouldn't it work on tires?.

Guess I was tooo slow on the draw!!!! FL&WVMIKE beat me too it.

Reverse them on the rim, or stain them / paint them and reverse on your rims. No one will notice with the whitewall prepared or not on facing the inside. If your a detail guy do the prep to the WW first and then really no one will notice facing in.

Twenty years ago Krylon had paint in their cans. Not sure what you get today.
