Default Steering column question

hello
i have the steering column out of the car and went to draun the fluid to change it before i reintalled it and found it full of grease how do i clean it out to put the 600 waight oil back in before i rein stall it 1930 tudor

I would just add the heavy gear oil and not worry about the grease. The gear oil will fill the voids and also mix with the grease.
