Default 1936 Ford door latches

Hi, Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the door latch of a Cabriolet and a Coupe besides the arm. Thanks BW.

The cabriolet definitely has a different door latch than the coupe. Door latches for the coupe, tudor and fordor are the same.

I don't have a cabrolet, I have a conv sedan, in looking for NOS latches I looked at a lot of doors to see what is the same, the pic of 3 latches are closed car latches, the 2 in the other pic are for conv sedan35-40, and I know 37 on cabrolet for all,--35 cabrolet has latches like closed cars ---I have seen both kinds in cars claimed to be 36

The 28-39 trim and hardware book has pictures and listings with measurements of the linkage rod

Do you have pictures of the striker, or the hole in the door? ---

My striker is the same as a coupe and my old latches look the same as your pictures. I was told the only difference was the arm length. I found a set of new ones Part # 48-702411-C LEFT AND A 48-702410 RIGHT I'm hoping they are right but I don't know.

The latches in my picture of the 3 latches are NORS--aftermarket, they came without the linkage rod so they would fit all the cars with that type --and some
Mopar cars of the same era. ---I bought them to use as parts to rebuild my worn drivers door latch, then I found the NOS ones that are in the other picture.

The closed car type are often on E-bay for reasonable prices, many times NOS at the same price as used
