Anyone Need an Engine Stand?
I certainly don't want to break any rules here so send me a PM if you're interested.

'Bout time you made room for a dining room table in that room. DD

Breakfast table... that's where transmissions, and motorcycle engines get assembled.
Helps to have an understanding and supportive wife. 'Course, she doesn't like the smell of old-time carb cleaner in the kitchen sink. |

I somewhat-vaguely remember you addressing this very subject when you were building that engine......eons ago, it seems. DD

Re: Anyone Need an Engine Stand?
I once rebuilt a chevy 350 in my kitchen, and I was married, at the time.

Re: Anyone Need an Engine Stand?
Well let's just say it didn't work out.
Good news is my current wife doesn't mind that I clean carburetors in the sink. |

Re: Anyone Need an Engine Stand?
The best way to remove the carb cleaner smell is to run the parts through the dishwasher afterwards. My last 2 carb rebuilds I used laquer thinner for soaking. The canned cleaner with the dip basket seems to get through gloves, clothing etc and into my skin and about 10 minutes later I can taste it in my mouth. I went 15 years without a wife like age 45-60. Biggest change is the old BSA lives on the back porch now instead of the living room.

Re: Anyone Need an Engine Stand?
Stopped by Richard's house this afternoon as he happens to live about 8 miles from my parents house. Nice guy with roots in the "Barn", sold his Ford which I wanted to see. Moving on to new projects. Thanks for the engine dolly Richard and my dad has a good use for the engine stand.
